A bit about me.
Friends, Mentors and Admen, lend me your eyes.

Thats right! I played for the Singapore cricket team as a batsman. I had an opportunity to play 2 series games one with Malaysia and Indonesia during my "international career". I love team sports, it divides the work and doubles the success.

I’m a ‘Yes man’.
True story: I get a first in my advertising course and my lecturer asked me, would you like to be a part of the pitching event? I thought, hell yes! I get to sit in the audience and watch all the talented students pitch their ideas. Next day I get an email saying congrats on getting selected to pitch in D&AD! This habit of throwing myself at all opportunities got me so far.
I’m a T-shaped person.
One part of me is the crazy creative and when I came to UK, my course brought out the accounts side in me. I loved getting involved throughout the process and see it through till the end. My creative side is always hungry for new briefs to solve, doing great quality work and producing effective solutions, stalking ECDs and other student work. And the accounts side loves finding insights about target audience, refining the briefs, and analysing the trends.
Advertising has always had the power to inform persuade influence provoke and shock anyone and everyone. Especially these days, when the world is so volatile. There are social and economical issues. I am desperate to start working and to have that power.

Another thing that people notice is my accent. So I’m an Indian and I stay in Singapore with my parents and I speak a few languages, which I think helps me bring an extremely new perspective on the ideas. I have lots to offer and lots to learn. There the advertising is more integrated and here its more old school where people still very much rely on newspapers and billboards over augmented reality and ambient stuff. I believe I’m unique and have lots to offer as my inspirations, experiences and influences have been different.
My Creative Test
Everyone has their own type of test to judge their ideas like, if it fits in a sticky note or if you still think its good the next day after you wake up, etc.
Here’s a test I do when I come up with a campaign. I run my ideas off my parents. If they get it and are fine with the idea, it’s not creative enough so I have to start over again!
“You are good.. Never give up.”
Chiaowoon Lim, then BBH Singapore.
Once my favourite teacher said this to me, and it has been my motivation ever since. It’s been a dream come true, to be among you’ll who have made this industry such a desirable place. Finally, I’d like to thank you for being with me for these 5 mins and please feel free to get in touch.
